At Field Day 2022

At the Shenandoah Valley Agricultural Research and Extension Center’s field day last Wednesday in Raphine, Chris Beard, a SVAREC employee and Rockbridge County farmer, presents a program on how clipping heifer hair coats can briefly reduce fescue toxicosis symptoms. Over 130 people participated in the field day, which covered a wide range of agricultural topics, from bee-friendly beef to improving hardwood regeneration in forests.
