At State Junior Dairymen’s Contest

Rockbridge County FFA members brought home fifth place honors from a field of 43 competing teams at the Virginia Junior Dairymen’s Competition during the State Fair of Virginia in Doswell Sept. 22. Team members included Kathleen Beard, Kaitlyn Childs and Jacob Wallace. Kathleen Beard received special recognition for earning the eighth highest individual ranking among the 170 total senior-level contestants. The team was coached by Lisa Martin. 10/18/2023 12:00 AM

First it was the questionable removal of the plaques noting Robert E. Lee’s horse Traveler once resided in the stable, now garage, of the former home of Robert E. Lee and now home of the president of Washington and Lee University.
