Lewis Preston Wallace Jr., 81, of Lexington died Sept. 25

Lewis Preston Wallace Jr., 81, of Lexington died Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, at Heritage Hall.

Born Jan. 7, 1942, in Lexington, he was a son of the late Lewis Preston Wallace Sr. and Edith Mae Austin Wallace.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia P. Wallace; brother, Eugene Wayne Wallace Sr.; and his pet companion Kim Lee.

Preston retired from Burlington Industrials as a lab supervisor and he enjoyed fishing with his buddies as well as golfing.

Surviving are his daughter, Leslie W. Lee (Will); sister, Linda Wallace Rice (JC); and two special great granddaughters.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Robert Walker. Burial will be at High Bridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be one hour before the service.
