Jarold Wayne Spath, 83, of Staunton died May 30

Jarold Wayne Spath, 83, of Staunton died Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Brookdale Assisted Living.

Born Feb. 19, 1940, in Chicago, Ill., he was a son of the late Harold Arthur Oscar Spath and Hazel June Hanson Spath.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ursula Grace Burchell Spath, and sons Mathew Spath and Eric Wayne Spath.

Surviving are his sister, Arden Spath Stegina and her husband Frank Stegina of Guilford, Conn.; daughter-in-law, Jean Manning Spath of Staunton; and granddaughter, Rachel Ann Spath of Charlottesville.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 5, at Oak Grove Cemetery by the Rev. William Klein.
