Henry David Watts, 83, of Richmond died Feb. 13

Henry David Watts, 83, passed away in his Richmond home Monday, Feb 13, 2023.

Henry was an avid outdoorsman who spent as much time as he could hunting and fishing. He was independent and determined, letting few obstacles stand in his way from achieving his goals. He didn’t even let cancer stop him from skydiving, going on a cruise, or hunting a bull elk. He was an uplifting and encouraging friend who was sure to make you laugh.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Christine; his brother, William “Bill” Watts; his parents, Henry and Florence “Polly” Watts; and his long time cherished friend Susan Sheetz.

He is survived by his three sisters, Louise Strange, Judy Tucker and Joyce Younger; three children, Ginny Maurer, Theresa Toman and Rick Watts; his six grandchildren, Max and Mallory Maurer, William and Shawn Bellis, and Hampton and Ashby Watts, and a great-granddaughter, Kaylee Swainey.

A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Richmond Friday, Feb 24, at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Henry requests donations be sent to Three Chopt Presbytarian Church, https://onrealm.org/TCPC/-/form/give/now.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
