Flora Jane Sorrells, 93, of Lexington died May 19

Flora Jane Sorrells, 93, of Lexington died Friday, May 19, 2023, at her home. Born May 8, 1930, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Leslie Ferguson and Annie Myrtle Martin Ferguson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert David Sorrells, and a great-great-grandson, Thomas. Flora Jane was a member of the Lauderdale A.R. Presbyterian Church and retired from Rockbridge County Schools Food Services. Surviving are her son, Robert David Sorrells Jr. (Connie); one grandchild, Travis Sorrells (Connie); and three great-grandchildren, Courtney, Justin and Benjamin. A graveside service will be 10 am. Tuesday, May 23, at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Lauderdale A.R. Presbyterian Church with the Rev .Benjamin Dowling officiating. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 22, at Harrison Funeral Home In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Flora Jane's memory to Carol's Coats, c/o Lauderdale ARP Church, 300 S.
