Bonnie Jane Painter Clements of Fairfield died Jan. 16

Bonnie Jane Painter Clements, 76, of Fairfield, gained her angel wings on Jan. 16, 2023.

Bonnie, aka Nanny, was born May 3, 1946, in Augusta County to the late Elwood F. and Lorean F. Painter.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy L. Painter; granddaughter, Tanya Montana Smith; and stepdaughter, Nona Harris.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving and devoted husband of 37 years, Richard; her loving son, Mike Holbert (Tami) of Stuarts Draft, her loving and devoted daughter, Missy Noel (Johnny) of Buena Vista; stepchildren, Richie Clements of Fairfield and Tonia Burger of North Carolina; grandchildren, Mickie Holbert (Abbie), Paul Jones (Brittany), Chris Jones (Bethany), Morgan Sanchez (Austin), Matt Jones, Taylor Smith (Wayman), Little Richie Clements and Savannah Clements of Fairfield, and Jesse and Aileen Burger of North Carolina; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Swisher (Rodger) of Staunton; and nephew Shawn Swisher (Melissa).

Bonnie had many loves in her life, but nothing compared to her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who spent most of their time at her home on the farm.  She will be sorely missed by many.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Derek Almarode.   Pallbearers will be Shawn Swisher, Mickie Holbert, Chris Jones, Paul Jones, Matt Jones and Austin Sanchez.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
