ADAM WATKINS

William John Adam Watkins, 47, of Roanoke, was greeted at the gates of Heaven and received his eternal reward on Friday, July 7, 2023.

He was greeted by his parents, Harlon Reed Watkins and Ester Kaye Blackburn Watkins. Adam was born June 5, 1976, in Rockbridge County.

Throughout his life, Adam took on many titles; those most known were dad, brother, “Unca Ammer,” friend, and most recently a child of God. Adam was a man who always had a smile on his face. He will always be remembered by his big laugh and his bright smile.

Adam leaves behind a son, Dennis-Reed Self; sister, Charolette Watkins Bradley and husband, Stanley; fiancé, Emily Overstreet and her son, Nathaniel “Bubba”; aunt, Nancy Landes; niece, Katlyn “Squirt” Bradley and husband, Thomas; and many other family and friends who were close to his heart.
