Back To The ‘80s
Led by physical education teachers Stuart Brown and Jackie Gay-Milliken, teachers and students of Central Elementary School broke a sweat last Friday with a 1980s-themed P.E. activity. As the finale of the school’s weeklong fitness initiative, “March into Fitness,” students were asked to dress in their best ‘80s gear to follow along to a jazzercise video. The rest of week consisted of physical activities and stations that were designed by Central’s third, fourth, and fifth grade students. (Hope Huger photos)

Two Fairfield Elementary School Destination Imagination teams competed in the 2023 Virginia Tournament in Mechanicsville on March 18, bringing home two awards. Team “The 5 Kute Kumbbers” (above) competed in the Scientific Challenged-Far Fetched and placed second in the competition.
