The News-Gazette met with Aaron Farmer and Dean Pyres from the Steam Railroading Institute in Michigan, as well as Steve Powell, who is the president of the Buckingham Branch Railroad in Staunton. Together, they all explain how vintage train cars from Owasso, MI came to be in Goshen, VA. The SRI partnered with Buckingham Branch, along with the Virginia Museum of Transportation and Will Harris to operate the fall steam engine excursions this year. Exterior and interior views of the train are featured, along with the interviews.
