Born Sept. 22, 1946, in New York, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Hauck and Delores Droste Hauck.

Karen took pride in farming and her gardening. She also had a love for painting/artwork and enjoyed skiing in her younger years.

Surviving are her husband, Alan Austin; children, Otto, Dallas, Choli and Marci; and four grandchildren.
