RC Girls’ Skid Continues

The Rockbridge County High School girls basketball team suffered a trio of road losses last week, falling 64-34 at Salem last Tuesday, coming up short 39-33 in the Valley District opener on Friday at Harrisonburg and losing their 10th straight game, 47-24, at Parry McCluer on Saturday, to fall to 1-11.

The Rockbridge County High School girls basketball team suffered a trio of road losses last week, falling 64-34 at Salem last Tuesday, coming up short 39-33 in the Valley District opener on Friday at Harrisonburg and losing their 10th straight game, 47-24, at Parry McCluer on Saturday, to fall to 1-11.

In Salem, Maddie Dahl paced RC with eight points, five rebounds and a block, while Rachel Hines added seven points and dished out five assists, and Abby Bouchard and Emma Clark each chipped in five points. Lola Mulitalo pulled down five rebounds, while McKenzie Hines had four boards and three steals.

In Harrisonburg, sophomore Parker Dameron stepped up to lead RC, scoring 14 points and pulling down 15 rebounds. Clark scored nine while Mulitalo had six points, five rebounds and a steal. Dahl had three points, five rebounds, four blocks, four assists and two steals. Rachel Hines led the Wildcats with three steals and grabbed two rebounds.
