Lenna Ojure is a candidate for School Board in the Buffalo District.

I have known Lenna for 40 years, during which time her professional life has been devoted to education. She has been a tutor, a teacher, and most significantly, a trainer of teachers and a director of tutoring programs. She has also given countless hours to our children as a volunteer.

As a mother and grandmother, she understands the stakes that families have in our schools as well.

Lenna is the only candidate for this role with the experience to understand the fiscal, legal, and historical challenges that our schools face.

Not only does Lenna Ojure have an extensive career/resume that supports 50-plus years of expertise in education, teaching, mentoring, coaching and leadership, both in the public sector and private sectors of elementary, middle, high school and university level higher ed … she is a collaborator, a listener, a conscious thinker and is as calm, level headed and sincere as they come … always, always working for the common good of all.

I personally have worked with Lenna in many of these capacities over the past 40 years. She has the stamina, the energy and the equanimity it takes for this service to the parents and students of Rockbridge County Public Schools.

Her passion and love for literacy and math go unmatched in her career and volunteer service which has supported many of our children/students in Rockbridge County without us even realizing it.
