Mary Anne Smith, 93, of Buena Vista, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024.
Born May 23, 1930, in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Frank M. Eggleston and Grace M. Eggleston.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Graham Calvin Smith; and brothers, Herbert Lee Eggleston and Bobby Edward Eggleston.
She was a life-long member of the Stone Church of the Brethren in Buena Vista.
She is survived by two sons, Don Smith (Verna Lee) of Harrison City, Pa., and Ron Smith of Roanoke; one daughter, Cindy Beverly (David) of Buchanan; five grandchildren; Corissa Beckham (Reginald) of Columbia, S.C., Tara Caito (Nicholas) of Irwin, Pa., Chris Smith (Traci) of Vinton, Ryan Beverly of Claremore, Okla., and Beth Ash (Colton) of Charlotte, N.C.; four greatgrandchildren, Jacob Smith, Nicholas and Madelyn Caito, and Fitz Ash; sister, Barbara Jean Moore of Buena Vista; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral was conducted Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Galen Combs. Burial followed in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stone Church of the Brethren, 2162 Forest Ave., Buena Vista, VA 24416.
