High Bridge

Esther Pennington, 540-291-2629 Last Sunday, March 12, the Rev. Dr. Amy Fetterman delivered her final sermon as she has served our church for the last two years as interim pastor. A reception was held afterward with refreshments in her honor.

Holy Communion was observed, and the “noisy can” and food pantry offering were received. Children’s church was led during service by Donna Lotts in the education building.

Returning from a recent trip to Dollywood Dream-More Resort in Pigeon Forge were Jane and Brenda Shafer, Cathy Ayers, and Sandy Watts. While there they attended and visited with singer Linda Davis.

There will be a fundraising cakewalk for the Natural Bridge Volunteer Fire Department Saturday, March 18. Doors open at 5 p.m. and food will be available for purchase. The walk begins at 6. Cake donations are appreciated.

Mark your calendars for the Natural Bridge Volunteer Fire Department’s 31 Day Raffle to be held the month of May. More news to follow on this but you can call (540) 570-0021 for more information.

The evening circle will meet Tuesday, March 27, at 6 with Esther.

The Natural Bridge/ Glasgow food pantry will be open Thursday, March 16, from 9 a.m. to noon.
