DOROTHY HUMPHRIES

Do rot hy Vi rg i n i a Humphries, 95, of Vesuvius died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, at Shenandoah Nursing & Rehab.

Born Nov. 6, 1927, in Fairfield, she was a daughter of the late Charles Hunter Snyder and Minnie Clements Snyder.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lenwood Humphries, and a son, Lenwood Humphries and his wife Kathy, brother Marshall Snyder and sister Edna Starnes.

Dorothy was a member of Vesuvius Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Judy and Rod Harmon, Larry and Rhonda Humphries, Leon and Susan Humphries, and JW and Kimberly Humphries; siblings, Madeline Wilhelm, Lib Runkle, Faye McCullough, May Snider, Sylvia Jean Bush, Barbara Mays and Chuck Snyder; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was conducted Saturday, Feb. 11, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Fred Salmons. Burial followed at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
