Devan Malore, 70, of Lexington died Feb. 4

Daniel “Devan” Malore, 70, of Lexington passed away suddenly in his residence in Lexington on Feb. 4, 2023. He was born July 23, 1952, in Hazleton, Pa.

Dan (Devan) was predeceased by his parents Louis and Josephine Malore of Hazleton, Pa.; and his beloved brother, Carl Malore, and sister, Deborah Malore, of Hazleton.

Surviving are two sisters, Josephine Paisley of White Haven, Pa., and Louise Jenkins of Harvey’s Lake, Pa. Also, surviving are his beloved nephews and niece.

Born and raised in Hazleton, he graduated from Hazleton Area High School and moved to the Pocono region in Pennsylvania, studying Hinduism and working as a carpenter. After years of hard work, he moved to New Jersey working as a carpenter prior to settling in Lexington.

Devan cherished philosophy, people, his artwork, and nature - “a real woodsman.” He would do anything for his friends and loved life.

“All who wonder are not lost.”

Our family is grateful to know that Dan (Devan) is at peace.

He will be buried Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. at The Meadow in Lexington. As per his wishes, he will have a green burial.

Donations can be made in his honor and memory to Boxerwood, a place that he devoted much time and appreciated. Visit donate-year-end-appeal/Boxerwood.
