Following the April 15 incident in which a fugitive used a weapon on himself during a police pursuit, the April 19 article stated that the weapon was a gun. It was actually a knife, according to the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office.

-The Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office made the following felony arrests over the past month: Cory Evan Taylor, 22, of Glasgow, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug on May 4.

William Ray Landes, 22, of Lexington, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug on May 4.

John Wayne Rife, 54, of Lexington, for one felony count of extortion of money by threat or intimidation, one misdemeanor count of trespassing and one misdemeanor count of stalking on May 2.

Joshua Matthew Sampson, 24, of Mt. Carmel, Pa., for three felony counts of threats in writing and two misdemeanor counts of slander and libel on May 1.

Layne Walker Clements, 20, of Lexington, for one count of grand larceny of a vehicle on May 1.

Michael Counts, 38, of Monroe, for one felony count of eluding police, three misdemeanor counts of reckless driving and four misdemeanor counts of failure to stop at a stop sign on May 1.

Erica Southers, 34, of Glasgow, for one count of failure to return bailment property valued at $1,000 or more on May 1.

Brittany Nicole Chambers, 35, of Natural Bridge, for one felony count of abduction, one felony count of perjury, one misdemeanor count of property damage, one misdemeanor count of preventing a call to 911 and one misdemeanor count of petit larceny on April 30.

Zeb Anthony Henson, 46, of Buena Vista, on a warrant from Bedford County for one count of felony property damage on April 17.

Donald Harris, 54, of Glasgow, for one count of attempted malicious wounding on April 12.

Chelsey D. Ingram, 26, of Lexington, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of possessing a firearm while in possession of a schedule I or II drug on April 10.

The Lexington Police Department made the following felony arrests in the past month: Layne Walker Clements, 20, of Lexington, for one felony count of burglary and one misdemeanor count of property damage on May 1.

Eldridge F. Mays Jr., 52, of Lexington, for one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug on April 10.
