Brenda Davis Wilson, 81, of Waynesboro, formerly of Lexington, died Feb. 14

 

Brenda Davis Wilson, 81, of Waynesboro, formally of Lexington, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, at the Shenandoah Nursing Home in Fishersville.

She was born July 7, 1941 in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late Charles Lanyon and Bettie Catherine Sensabaugh Davis. 

She retired from the city of Lexington as secretary to the chief of police after 28 years of service and was very active in her church.  She served as the first Senior Regent of Lexington Chapter 1741 of the Women of the Moose and served as the Deputy Grand Regent for Virginia for the year 1985-86.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Michael L. Wilson; her daughter Monica Wilson Shabo and husband Scott Smith of Raleigh, N.C., and her son Willet Dow Wilson and wife Rachel of Chesterfield, and their son Korben.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Harrison Funeral Home on Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 2 to 3 p.m.   A memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 3 p.m.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial  donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
