‘Take Your Vote Seriously’

Oct. 16, 2023 Editor, The News-Gazette: I was shocked that local Democrats chose a recent college graduate to be their state senator candidate. I know very little of Jade Harris, but I do know that she has very little experience in government. In fact, she has limited experience in any career.

Would you give control of your income to a young person? Or, how you raise and educate your children? Or where/how you work? Please — choose your senator and delegate carefully.

And, choose your local leaders carefully, too. More solar farms in Rockbridge County? They don’t work! And, when did our Board of Supervisors become real estate agents? Supporting business growth is fine, but leave real estate transactions to the professionals!

We’re paying more and more taxes, and what are we getting for our money? Take your vote seriously!
