RC Girls Laxers Host Preseason Playday At SVU

The Rockbridge County High School girls lacrosse team held a successful playday on Saturday at The Fields at Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista. The Wildcats were one of four teams taking part in this informal preseason competition. The other teams were Albemarle, Monticello and Salem. The Wildcats were grateful to SVU for allowing them to use the turf field, following the rain on Friday that would have made it difficult to play on RC’s home field. After a scrimmage today at Powhatan at 5 p.m., the Wildcats will officially start the season on Monday at home against Salem.
