Honored By Garden Club
Honored By Garden Club
The Natural Bridge Garden Club recently presented a certificate from the National Penny Pines Program to Stephanie Louquet (left) in honor of The Herbery for her contributions to the club’s herb garden located in front of the RARA building in Lexington. The garden’s herbs are for The Community Table. With her is garden club member and Community Table volunteer Irene Condie. The club participates in the National Penny Pines Program established by the National Garden Clubs and the USDA Forest Service. Two hundred trees are replaced in damaged areas around the country by the donations of the club’s members. These indigenous trees provide soil, watershed protection, future harvestable timber, as well as beauty and shade for recreation. 05/10/2023 12:00 AM
