William Robert Staton, 82, of Buena Vista passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2024.
Born Feb. 4, 1941, in Amherst County, he was the son of Maxwell E. Staton and Nannie White Staton.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Faye Sorrells Staton, and siblings Arlene Fox, M.P. Staton, Thelma Smith, Vernon Staton, Lourena Hamm and Roger Staton.
Surviving are two sisters, Deloris Roberts (Travis), and Shirley Reid (Ronnie); a brother, W.K. Staton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Arnold Bradley.
Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
