Janice Cleo Hudson Lavender, 82, of Buena Vista, went home on Dec. 17, 2023, after a long illness. Born Oct. 30, 1941, in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Woodville and Gladys Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Henry Lavender; daughter Virginia Lynn Deacon; and son Paul Allen Lavender.
She is survived by daughter Carolyn West of Waynesboro; sons David Lavender and wife Brenda of Middlebrook, and Daniel Lavender and his wife Lisa of Buena Vista; numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Forever missed, forever loved and forever in our hearts.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel by Pastor Mickey Kirkland. Burial will follow at Lavender Family Cemetery, Amherst.
Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
