There will be a farewell reception for Clyde and Jeri Keen Nov. 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Manly Memorial Baptist Church located at 202 S. Main St.
Clyde and Jeri Keen have been longtime members of this church and community, having lived in Lexington since the 1960s. Both served in the public school system for 33 years. Clyde Keen was the principal at Waddell Elementary and Lylburn Downing Middle schools and Jeri Keen served as a music teacher and band director in the school system. They have been actively involved in the outreach missions of the church for 33 years and have participated in 18 mission trips throughout the world.
The Keens will be moving to Midlothian. “We hope the public will join us on Nov. 12 to wish them well in this next chapter,” said a church spokesperson
