Lt. Col. Calvin Eugene Hughes, the son of late Anglee and Frank Hughes of Madison Heights, passed away quietly at his home Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023.
He served in the United States Air Force for 27 years and worked for Elizabeth Town Water Company for 30plus years. He served in the United Methodist Church as a lay speaker.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, the Rev. Lucy A. Jackson-Hughes, also son Michael R. Jackson of Virginia Beach, and many friends and family he leaves behind.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
