Columbia Gas Begins City Project

Columbia Gas began work this month on the McCorkle Drive replacement project, according to Lexington officials. The work is expected to continue through mid-August.

Columbia Gas began work this month on the McCorkle Drive replacement project, according to Lexington officials. The work is expected to continue through mid-August.

Columbia Gas will be replacing gas main utility and services on McCorkle Drive north of Hutcheson Street to include Hutcheson Street, Allen Avenue, Mary Lane, Hook Lane, Campbell Lane, and Shop Road as well as North Lewis Street north of Downing Court to include Smith Street, Graham Lane, and Hook Lane.

Work will be Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m.

During this time one or more of these streets will be primarily flagged and/or occasionally closed, but will be open to residents. This work will be performed by contract partner Miller Pipeline.
