This year’s event sponsored by the community’s churches will offer an afternoon of treats, games and fun. Collierstown United Methodist Church will open its doors to host a spaghetti supper from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24. Dine-in and takeout meals will be available and will include spaghetti, tossed salad, bread, dessert and assorted beverages. The cost is by donation.
A celebration of life for Ian Thomas Treger will be held at the Collierstown Presbyterian Church on Sunday, Oct. 25, immediately following the 11 a.m. service. His mother, Michelle Ludwig, and the church’s congregation, invite those wishing to honor Ian’s memory to attend this service on what would have been his 30th birthday. Ian departed this life in May while trekking in the high Andes of Peru. Following the service a fellowship luncheon and a time of hospitality will be held in the church’s fellowship hall. Memorial contributions may be directed to the “What Would Ian Do Foundation,” a registered nonprofit organization for lasting tributes to honor Ian’s memory.
Preparations for the Collierstown Presbyterian Church’s annual church dinner on Nov. 7 are underway. On Saturday, Oct. 24, and on Saturday, Oct. 31, the church building and grounds will be cleaned beginning at 8 a.m. Members and friends are invited to bring rakes, tarps and leaf blowers for outdoor clean up.
