Women Read, a book club hosted by the Rockbridge Regional Library, will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Lexington branch of the library for discussion on Pip Williams’s acclaimed historical novel, “The Bookbinder.”
Set in Oxford, England, during the early 1900s, The Bookbinder follows Peggy and Maude, twin sisters who work at the Oxford University Press during World War I. As the war changes their community, Peggy begins questioning the path of her life and women’s lives and longs for a change in the role that society has granted her.
New members and visitors are welcome.
