Kerrs Creek

Rachel Clark, (630) 607-9938 [email protected] Music Sunday was filled with hymns, songs and special music at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church. The choir, with soloist Marsha Mayhew, provided the offertory “I Need No Other Argument.” Thanks to Dianne Swink, Laura Hotinger and Sara Dunlap for the special duet with accompanying piano. The Ukeladies (Joann Blouin, Teresa Thompson, Karen Duff, Hope Bird, Deb Jarret and Rachel Clark) were joined by Tim Hodges, Ray Blouin and Cordelia Clark for the praise song and special music. Thanks to Calvin Clark and special guest, Fintan McGrath, for the marvelous descants while Sara played the hymns.

New Monmouth enjoyed a potluck lunch after worship with a taco bar featuring homemade tortillas, smoked pork, and pulled chicken. The Baja Mission team shared stories and pictures from their trip in July. Let Rachel know if you are interested in participating in next year’s trip.

Congratulations to Alanna Conner on another wonderful STARS show performance on Sunday afternoon. She sang “Tomorrow” from the musical “Annie” at the Historic Masonic Theatre in Clifton Forge among other friends for their “Endless Summer” show.
