The second Rockin’ The Gorge music event will take place this Friday, Sept. 5, at 6 p.m. at Locher Pavilion. Well-known local musician Jason Hostetter will be providing the entertainment. Admission is free.
Rob Rothenberger returned as guest speaker at Glasgow Baptist Church this past week. The Tyree Family provided special music before the morning message.
Faye Reynolds is recuperating at home from injuries she received in an auto accident last week. We wish her a speedy recovery.
Carolyn, Wes, Michael and Andi Bradley of Glasgow, along with Teri Bradley Blake and Abigail Blake of Raphine, attended the annual Nicely family picnic at Douthat State Park on Sunday, Aug. 23. Carolyn also attended another Nicely reunion held at the Central Advent Christian Church near Clifton Forge this past July. She hopes to attend a third branch of the Nicely clan reunion this Labor Day weekend usually held at the Palmer Community Center. All these Nicelys are branches on the same tree, descendants of the same ancestors.
