Rose Hierman, a Waddell Elementary School student, won a first prize at the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) Writing Contest for the state of Virginia. The Lexington Woman’s Club, a member of GFWC, sponsors this annual writing contest.
Rose had entered in the kindergarten through second grade category.
