March 26, 2023 Editor, The News-Gazette: Congratulations are due to the Chamber Music Society of Lexington for its premiere performance last Friday evening at Grace Episcopal Church.
The directors, Martha Burford and Mark Gallagher, chose to highlight one of the 20th-century’s major avant-garde composers, Olivier Messiaen, and players and singers received an immediate standing ovation for their depth-filled and excellent work.
The Society is a wonderful gift to the city.
