Approximately 60 youths participated in this year’s Kids Fishing Day at Cave Mountain Lake on Saturday. The event was hosted by the USDA Forest Service, in partnership with the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, and was open to children ages 15 and under. Forest Service staff was available at the event to offer advice and weigh the trout. Cave Mountain Lake is part of DWR’s Youth Only Stocked Trout Program and is available for youths to continue fishing until June 15. (Stephanie Mikels Blevins photos)
