At St. John’s Episcopal Church this past Sunday, Brandall Branch led the morning prayer. Many thanks to him and to church musicians Bert Buford, Courtney VanOsten and Josh Gardner, as well as to Courtney VanOsten for hosting and providing refreshments for coffee hour. The Rev. Dr. Bob Copenhaver will lead a Holy Eucharist service this Sunday, May 17. Happy birthday to St. John’s members Andre Minor and Terry Palmer.
The 2026 hikers dinners season began at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Monday, May 4. The church hosted 22 hikers. The dinners will continue through May and June on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. during the peak season of the Appalachian Trail through our area. All are welcome to attend the dinners. If you’d like to volunteer to assist with the dinners, contact either Brandall Branch or Dave VanOsten.
