Wishing all mothers a Happy Mothers Day this Sunday. May you be surrounded with much love and appreciation.

If classic or vintage cars are your thing, then you’ll want to check out the car show scheduled for this Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Knick Memorial Ball Field.

The first Farmers/Flea Market of the season had a chilly start (weather wise). There were at least three vendors, according to Mike Finchum, interim town manager. A number of folks stopped by the check things out. The current hours are every Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The hours are subject to change as the season progresses.

The Order of The Eastern Star is sponsoring a Mothers Day Fish Fry on Saturday, May 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the James E. Thompson Center, 207 Catawba St., in Glasgow.
