There is no Bible study Monday, May 11. Lunch Bunch is May 12 in the pavilion at 12:30 p.m. Bring something to share.

On May 24, 10 a.m. worship begins. Calling all kindred spirits! There will be an Anne of Green Gables tea party and book discussion on Tuesday, May 26, at 2 p.m. at the Clark house. Please RSVP by email to Rachel Clark at [email protected].

Music Sunday is May 31. We will have a covered-dish potluck following the service. Vacation Bible school is June 1-4. Spread the word!

The Kerrs Creek Ruritan Club met at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church on April 21. The New Monmouth Mission Team served our meal to help raise funds for their mission trip to Baja, Mexico. Pauline McKee, chairman of the McKee Cemetery located at Big Spring Farm, was our guest speaker. Ground penetrating radar has identified 105 burials, mostly Scots-Irish Presbyterians from the 18th century. The McKee/Big Spring Cemetery Association is a nonprofit. On June 23, the DAR/ SAR will have a marking of Revolutionary War Patriot Ensign James Logan McKee ceremony at 10 a.m.

The Social Development Committee is selecting the scholarship recipients for this year at Rockbridge County High School. Thank you to all businesses, organization and individuals that support us being able to give scholarships to our students.

Roger Williamson presented Vicki Hodges with the past president pin and thanked her for all of her work last year.

Hunters for the Hungry is an organization the club supports. They have been around since 1991. They process venison for needy families. Since 1991 over 33 million pounds of venison has been processed. Unfortunately, the processing fees continue to increase.

The club will meet at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, May 19, at 6:30. Widows of members and spouses are welcome.
