High Bridge

Esther Pennington, (540) 291-2629

Easter Sunday at High Bridge Presbyterian Church began with a full sanctuary with many out of town family members attending. Some of the families were Todd, Audra and Nora Upchurch; family members of Sammy and Tish Vest; Garnette Teas’ family; Pam Lotts’ family; Gayle Tolley’s family; Jeff and Tam Tolley’s family; and the family of Roy and Connie Powell.

High Bridge received the One Great Hour of Sharing Mission Offering on Easter Sunday and the church was filled with a variety of spring flowers.

On Sunday, April 12, we will take the “noisy can” and food pantry offerings. There will also be Children’s Church lead by Donna Lotts.

Several members attended the community Easter sunrise service and breakfast that was hosted by Ricky and Debbie Siler at their hilltop home. There was no rain during this service.

The children enjoyed beautiful weather for the Easter egg hunt on Saturday.

The Evening Circle met Tuesday, April 7, at the church fellowship hall. It was hosted by Dwinnie Shafer and the lesson was led by Gayle Tolley.

The Men’s Group will meet Wednesday, April 8, at 5:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.

The Afternoon Circle will meet Wednesday, April 14, at 1 at the church fellowship hall.

The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry will open promptly at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, and close at 11 a.m. Special requests for the month of April are peanut butter and jelly.
