The Washington and Lee University Wind Ensemble will present its winter term Concerto-Aria Winners Concert on April 6 at 8 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall. Featuring the winners of the 2025-26 Concerto-Aria Contest Isabel Duarte ’26 and Paris Guerrro ’27 as soprano soloists, the UWE will also offer music by Omar Thomas, John Mackey and Johnny Vinson. Bill Zheng ’26 and Daniel Volodarsky ’27 will make student guest conducting appearances, and the UWE will present the consortium premiere of “Phoenix” by composer Joseph Sowa, who will be in attendance.
