An estimated 600 people attended the No Kings rally this past Saturday in Lexington. Participants met at Oak Grove Cemetery and processed down Main Street then onto Nelson Street. The rally itself was held in Hopkins Green where there were speeches, singing and a moment of silence for the service men and women who have been killed so far in the Iran war. The rally was one of hundreds held all over the country on Saturday. This local event was organized by 50 Ways Rockbridge, the Bridge Brigade, Hearts for Democracy, the Lexington-Rockbridge-Buena Vista Democratic Committee, Maury River Friends Meeting, the Rockbridge Racial Equity Coalition and the Washington and Lee University College Democrats.
