Oxford Presbyterian Church will host an ecumenical Ash Wednesday Service for the Buffalo and Collierstown communities today, Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m. Pastor Daniel Montague of the Collierstown United Methodist Church will deliver the evening’s message. Music will be provided by the Oxford Church. Also participating in the service will be Burr Datz.

The Collierstown United Methodist Men are reminded of their monthly breakfast at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the church.

An all-you-can eat spaghetti dinner will be hosted by the Collierstown United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. The meal will include spaghetti, tossed salad, bread, dessert and assorted beverages. Meals will be offered as a “dinein” or “take out” eating experience. The cost of the meal is by donation.

The Collierstown Presbyterian Church installed elders to serve in the class of 2029 on Sunday, Feb. 15, during the morning worship service. Those installed included Geoff Goodbar, Chas Potter and Jeanne Staton. Following the worship hour the church family enjoyed the congregation’s annual “Warm Your Heart” soup and salad luncheon. Donations in support of the Presbyterian Women’s Church World Service Blanket Program were collected at the luncheon. Those wishing to contribute to the Blanket initiative can send donations to the Collierstown Presbyterian Church, 31 Church Drive, Lexington, VA24450 by Sunday, Feb. 22. The cost of a blanket is $10.

On Sunday, Feb. 22, the Collierstown Presbyterian Church will hold its annual congregational meeting at the close of the worship hour to review the 2025 year of ministry and service by the church. Copies of the Handbook of 2025 Reports will be available for review.
