Feb. 9, 2026 Editor, The News-Gazette: Imagine: Biden as president says Republican politicians and Fox News will be charged by the Department of Justice for being enemies of the people. He denounces Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller as agents of the fascist underground and says Christian nationalism is an attempt to undermine women’s equality by poisoning the minds of the next generation of children in right-wing private schools, which will receive no tax money and lose tax-exempt status.
Biden cuts off disaster relief to “red” states, diverts tax monies paid in by “red” states to building roads and tunnels in “blue’ states. He sends poorly trained “special” operatives to quell protestors, a number in Texas being killed as “terrorists” for exercising the right to assemble and speak. No government review is held because he has fired all inspectors general, and the Attorney General and FBI director declare those shot were insurrectionists. Thousands, including US citizens and their children have been deported without trial.
Biden starts a business where foreign governments are “encouraged” to spend hundreds of millions buying worthless crypto coins and give him gifts like a luxury airplane. He further reneges on a promise to open the Epstein files, appropriates the tariff power from Congress, attacks foreign countries without a declaration of war, sides with Communist dictators at every opportunity, declares our NATO allies are enemies and fails to reduce inflation or job losses as he pledged.
Imagine him installing family, cronies and incompetents throughout the government.
He declares until the populace learns to behave the next election will be suspended.
Now, imagine Republicans in Congress remaining silent, not impeaching him for corruption, using the military for war without a declaration of war, imposing tariffs illegally, and violating citizen rights under the Constitution, for threatening democracy itself. JOE PETITE Rockbridge County
