Two special ladies ‒ sisters Yvonne Reed and Judy Cash ‒ celebrated birthdays in January at a family gathering at the home of Monica Reed Atkins. Judy, the oldest, who turned 90, was given a surprise birthday party at the Buena Vista firehouse on Feb. 8 attended by family, relatives and friends from far and near. She thought she was helping with a surprise party for her daughter-in-law, Lisa Cash.
The former pastor of Glasgow Baptist Church, the Rev Bill Thomas, passed away in January. We extend love and sympathy to the family.
Guest speakers at Glasgow Baptist Church in the coming weeks will be students in the Pulpit Supply Program from Liberty University. This past Sunday Elijah Gonsalves brought the message. This coming Sunday Jacob Pelbath is scheduled to speak. The congregation will have a time of fellowship with finger foods following the morning service.
