Parry McCluer Theatre invites audiences to step into the 1950s and ask themselves what kindness truly means in its upcoming production of “The Curious Savage.”
Performances will take place at Parry McCluer Middle School on Friday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 14, at 2 and 7 p.m.
The play follows Ethel Savage, a recent widow devoted to helping others live out their dreams — no matter the cost. When her greedy stepchildren attempt to stop her from spending what they believe to be their inheritance, they commit her to a psychiatric ward. There, Ethel meets a group of delightfully idiosyncratic patients who ultimately help her reveal what true kindness looks like — and the consequences of choosing greed instead.
Tickets are available for purchase online at pmtheatre.ludus. com or at the door prior to each performance. “The Curious Savage” is presented through special arrangement with Concord Theatricals. All authorized performance materials are supplied by Concord Theatricals.
Parry McCluer Theatre is home to a passionate and talented group of students dedicated to developing a wide range of performance skills. The program welcomes students of all experience levels to discover their voice, build confidence, and find their place — whether onstage or behind the scenes.
