Jan. 19, 2026 Editor, The News-Gazette: It is clear to me now that for Mr. and Mrs. Lowry and the rest of the MAGA Republicans, there is no line that the president can cross and lose their support.
If the “radical left” have TDS, MAGA has TWS: Trump Worship Syndrome. It allows them to mindlessly accept all the illegal, unlawful, dangerous, wasteful, hypocritical, self-gratifying and downright stupid things he does with reckless abandon.
Why should we work to change a law when current laws and our Constitution are being ignored by the current administration?
I’m amazed that someone who goes to church on Sunday is OK with how ICE is brutally attacking people, some of them U.S. citizens and all human beings, in this country. Must be they don’t preach love thy neighbor anymore. MARY DANKS Rockbridge County
