ConnectionsPlus Offering Ceremony, Workshop, Raffle

This holiday season, ConnectionsPlus Healthcare + Hospice welcomes the community to join in heartfelt traditions that cherish memories, foster connection, and embrace generosity.

Light Up A Life

The annual Light Up A Life ceremony offers families and friends a heartfelt way to remember those who have passed. This year, the focus is on a simple yet powerful gesture: as each loved one’s name is read aloud, attendees will light a candle in their honor. The room will gradually glow with warmth and memory — a beautiful symbol of love that continues to shine.

This year’s local ceremony will be offered on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 5:30 p.m. at Kendal Hall, Kendal at Lexington.

Holiday Grief Workshop For those navigating loss during the holidays, ConnectionsPlus will host a Holiday Grief Workshop on Dec. 11, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at its Lexington office.

This creative session provides a safe space for expression and connection, helping participants find comfort and community during a challenging season.

Registration is required. Call (540) 463-1848 for more information.

WD Goad Memorial Truck Raffle

Generosity takes the wheel with the fifth nnual WD Goad Memorial Truck Raffle, benefiting the Good Neighbor Fund.

One lucky winner will drive away in a 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid — just in time for the new year. Tickets are available now, and the live drawing will take place on Dec. 22 at 5:30 p.m. Every ticket purchased helps provide compassionate care for neighbors in need. Visit www.ConnectionsPlus. care to get your ticket now.

The truck can be seen in local Christmas parades – and a surprise guest will be riding in the truck to spread holiday cheer. “Don’t miss your chance to wave hello and snap a photo,” said a spokeswoman.

“Together, these events reflect the heart of ConnectionsPlus: honoring memories, supporting those who grieve, and building a stronger, more caring community,” she said.
