Notice is hereby given that the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at its meeting on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Board Meeting Room on the 1st floor of the County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, VA, 24450, to consider adoption of the following:
Resolution Authorizing And Approving Execution Of Land Lease Agreement With Leander Keith Herring, Sr. and Peggy Herring To Lease County Owned Property Acquired In Connection With The South River Flood Mitigation Project, Being 3.245-Acre Lot, Shown As Parcel B2, and 7.303-Acre Lot, Shown as Parcel B3, Portions of New Tax ID #64-A-11, On Plat Of Record In Plat Cabinet 3, Slide 630, And A 2.000-Acre Lot, New Tax ID #64-A-10A, Shown On Plat Of Record In Plat Cabinet 4, Slide 61, Lying North of Camille Lane In The South River Magisterial District Of Rockbridge County
All interested citizens are invited to attend the public hearing to express their views on the proposed Ordinance. While the Board meeting will be open to the public, citizens will have several options for remotely participating in the public hearing by following the instructions on the meeting agenda to be posted on BoardDocs at: https://go.boarddocs.com/va/rcva/ Board.nsf/Public. ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 808 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that the following public hearing will be held by the Rockbridge County Planning Commission on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at or after 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 to consider the following application: 1. BARC Electric Cooperative, PO Box 246 Millboro, Virginia 24460 has made an application to amend conditions associated with a previously approved special exception permit (SEP) for a public utility in the Agriculture and General Uses (A-2) Zoning District. The property is identified as 1972 Big Spring Drive, Lexington, Virginia 24450 and is further identified as TM# 47-A-50 (15.24 ac.). The property is located on the northeast side of the intersection of W. Midland Trail (Rte. 60) and Fredericksburg Road (Rte. 60) The property is owned by BARC Electric Cooperative (above address). The SEP to develop a public utility was approved by the Board of Supervisors on May 26, 2015; and amended SEP was approved by the Board of Supervisors on April 14, 2025. The pending application is to amend conditions associated with the April 14, 2025 SEP to allow for the construction of a building and to remove the period of validity associated with the April 14, 2025 SEP. CITY OF BUENA VISTA PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING November 12th 2025
Note: this meeting will be on Wednesday 11/12/2025 instead of Tuesday due to Veterans’ Day. Pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2204 and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters.
1) Zoning Text Amendment, Section 705 Home Occupations, for the purpose of updating policies related to home occupation businesses and clarifying text.
The Public Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building located at 2039 Sycamore Avenue in Buena Vista during the regular monthly Planning Commission meeting at approximately 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12th 2025. BUENA VISTA CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING November 6th 2025
Pursuant to Code of Virginia, Section 15.2-1800 and Section 10.11701, and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the City Council of the City of Buena Vista will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters. 1. Deed of designation of openspace land pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 10.1-1701 for approximately 6 acres of City-owned river front land near Advanced Drainage Systems and Chalk Mine Run. This deed results from a grant from the Virginia Outdoors Foundation to fund design of new river access points on the Maury River.
The Public Hearing will be held in Council Chambers, City Hall, 2039 Sycamore Ave, Buena Vista VA 24416. The meeting begins at 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 6th 2025.
