The student-run organization at RCHS, Food for Thought, also runs the Cinderella Project. The Cinderella project works to provide formal wear for events like homecoming and prom. The program provides students who are not able to access formal wear suits and dresses for their big events. The program has an entire trailer filled with a variety of clothing options. There is a Google Form for interested students to fill out on the RCHS homepage and with QR codes posted around the school.
On Friday, Oct. 10, the Cat Crew Works hosted its fourth annual Career Fair. Students had the opportunity to explore a variety of careers and options for their future. Cat Crew Works brought in representatives from a variety of community colleges, trade schools, businesses, and non-profit organizations. Each grade level had time set out for them in the school day to go and talk with the business and ask any questions that they have.
For the week of Homecoming, Oct 14-17, the National Honors Society (NHS) will be running a Pie-in-the-Face fundraiser. During lunches, students will vote for teachers by putting money in the jars with the teachers face on it. The two teachers at the end of homecoming week with the most money will be pied in the face at the prep rally during school on Friday. Funds from this fundraiser will benefit NHS by supporting the events that they host such as Halloween Fair on Oct. 25 and the Lip Sync Battle in the spring semester.
