It was a good night to mingle with law enforcement and fire-rescue personnel at the annual National Night Out event at Hull’s Drive-In last Friday evening. The educational event included everything from a moving mechanical deer (below) courtesy of the State Park Police at Natural Bridge State Park to an armored vehicle (at left) belonging to the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office. There were all kinds of free stuff from local fire and police departments and free popcorn at the Rockbridge Regional Jail tent. Children even got to visit with Deputy Dog.
