Rockbridge Regional Library in Lexington will host a workshop sponsored by MidMountain Retreat and Rockbridge Historical Society and led by Sal Dockery from North Carolina’s Old Salem Museums and Gardens entitled “Unmasking Local History.”
The workshop will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
Attendees will be introduced to basic research tools and techniques used to research the history of a property’s use.
Dockery will demonstrate using the property that now hosts MidMountain Retreat as an example. He will then assist attendees as they research a property of their choice.
